Office 2010 and It’s Best Features

If you have been using Microsoft for a long time now, you may wonder what new things could an Office 2010 download possibly offer? True enough, there are features that remain the same. Yet there are those that make the 2010 version stand out from all its predecessors. So what are the best features of Office 2010?

Number one is the Ribbon. This time around this new feature has now been incorporated into every single app in the Office platform. Previously released in its predecessor, the Ribbon was a creative choice, but for many, it took awhile to getting used to. This time around, with it pervading every single app – it is a leap into the future versions of Office and the best thing about this version is it can now be customized.

Because the Ribbon can now be tweaked, people may switch up the tool bars slightly or extensively. In Office 2010, you can change the groupings of the different tools and tabs and admins can create and customize different ribbons according to what their team needs.  The Backstage view is a wonderful feature and is a more organized way to view the Save, Save As and Opening features in the different apps.

Office 2010 allows you to preview what you are pasting. You simply hover your mouse so that you can see what your item looks like on the clipboard. Go to the Home Ribbon and click on the paste drop down menu. That way, you will be presented with your options. Office 2010 has the Protected view, when you open your documents and presentations and attachments on Outlook – you can open them as read-only files.  This hinders malicious code from functioning and you can think of Protected view as having a similar function to macros.

Finally, Office Web apps has online versions of Word 2010, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. This interfaces with SharePoint. This allows you to work on your documents on the Net and this can increase your flexibility and mobility depending on what your needs are. Others may be nostalgic for older versions, but Office 2010 can be thought of as a step towards the future. The interface looks slicker and easily leads into Office 2013.

You can create anything if you are equipped with the right productivity platform so if you have MS 2010, then take full advantage of it. Get your Office 2010 download today if you feel it will fulfill all of your business and personal requirements.
