Appreciating Office 2010

Before you install your Office 2010 product key, do you remember the Office 2007 days? If you are familiar with the suite that began the most significant overhauls to the MS interface, there were people who either loved it or hate it. This time around, however, you may grow accustomed to Office 2010. And because version 2010 has a lot of wonderful features, you might just grow to love it.  By now, you’re probably already familiar with the Ribbon interface.  Over the years, Microsoft has revised their UI to accommodate modern times, or simply the desire to streamline certain functions.

Every time something evolves, a creative leap is needed. After all, that is how reality is created – with the wisdom of the unknown. With Office 2010, Microsoft has listened to all or most of what users complained about and they have created something that is the best of previous worlds. This time around, the Ribbon is customizable and it now includes the “File” option. The Backstage View is a new corner of the file tab that places all essential functions in one corner.

Office 2010 has many things that increase your productivity and speed in creating docs. Certain new features include the Paste Preview. This allows you to preview the formatting of your work before you paste anything from the clipboard. You can now create screen captures using a built-in screenshot tool that allows you to take images while you are working on Office 2010. One of the best things about MS 2010 is how you can edit photos on the doc. There is a background removal tool that allows you to make tweaks on images so that your photos are cleaner.

PowerPoint 2010 has better graphics and you can now insert video into your slides! Not only that, you can also make slight trimmings and adjustments on the video media so that whatever media you insert fits perfectly well with whatever it is you are presenting.

Since cloud computing has become the norm, the Office Web Apps allow you to work on your documents on the Net. There are online versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You can even use OneNote 2010 on the Web! OneDrive allows you to store your documents on the cloud. This can give you maximum mobility whether you are using Office 2010 for personal or business computing.

After you get your Office 2010 productkey installed, familiarize yourself with the Microsoft app. Get to know it better and allow it to improve your business needs and your life!
